Setting Up Your Free
SecondLife Account

The first thing you need to do is to create a free Secondlife account by visiting the website at: Secondlife.com

You will be asked to create an avatar name, and select your avatar's gender. When asked who referred you to Secondlife, be sure to say that Virtual Bacon sent you!

After creating your character, you will need to download the free software from the website, and then install it on your computer. Full and up to date instructions are provided on the website.

One important issue to resolve is to determine if your computer hardware has the ability to handle the 3d requirements of Secondlife. Current criteria are provided on the Secondlife website, but the sure test is to instal the software and give it a try. The worst that will happen is that you will get a message on the screen telling it that is just won't work. We hope that doesn't happen.

Once the software is installed, you can run the software as you would any program on your computer.
